2024 Jayco Jay Flight SLX | Baird, TX
The Jay Flight SLX is a hyper-compact camper that makes the RV life more accessible than ever. Whether you’re shopping on a budget or looking for a trailer that just about any vehicle can tow, the 2024 Jayco Jay Flight SLX offers exceptional versatility without compromising comfort.
Floorplans and size
The 2024 Jay Flight SLX is offered with nine floorplans, with prices starting at $24,309 for the smallest 154BH model and climbing to $33,906 for the largest 262RLS (a new floorplan for 2024). These are quite affordable prices compared to most RVs, made possible thanks to the SLX’s relatively tiny size. The 154BH floorplan weighs just 2,690 pounds and stretches to just 18 feet in length. The 262RLS is just shy of 6,000 pounds and is 30 feet 4 inches long.
The majority of SLXs weigh less than 3,500 pounds, making it possible to tow the RV with most midsize SUVs — no need to upgrade to a truck or full-size SUV with lots of towing capacity. Yet despite its small size, the SLX is more than capable of accommodating a family or small group. Sleeping capacity is 4-6 for most floorplans, but two floorplans are designed to handle up to 10 people!
Premium features
Real wood cabinets, residential-style kitchen countertops, and luxury vinyl flooring make the Jay Flight SLX feel a lot more premium than its price tag might suggest. Most of the savings have gone into cutting down the RV’s size — but the quality of the features remains on par with what you’d expect to find in even Jayco’s largest travel trailers. Take, for instance, the new-for-2024 210QB floorplan. It has a 16-foot awning with LED lights, a queen-size bed, a fully-equipped kitchen, and plenty of nice touches throughout — like the wood-trimmed mirror in the bathroom, or the solid hardwood cabinet doors with hidden hinges. Dark-tinted windows offer privacy without having to pull the shades.
Jayco construction
Like any Jayco RV, the Jay Flight SLX benefits from high-quality construction that offers peace of mind over multiple camping seasons. It uses the Magnum Truss™ Roof System, one of the strongest roofs in the industry, which can withstand up to 4,500 pounds. That makes it easier to shrug off damage from branches or snow, as well as easier to safely perform maintenance. Galvanized steel wheels protect the underside of the SLX from debris and reduce the danger of tire blowouts. An integrated A-frame enhances overall structural integrity at the front, preventing the hitch from buckling. And of course, nitrogen-filled tires reduce pressure leaking, enhancing ride quality and stability even on long trips.
The SLX is backed by Jayco’s industry-leading two-year limited and three-year structural warranties, plus a wide range of additional warranties from its suppliers. This offers the type of peace of mind that has made Jayco a trusted manufacturer for many decades.
Room for everyone
If you think the Jay Flight SLX isn’t suited to camping with a big group, think again. The new 260BH and 261BHS floorplans can sleep up to 10 people and do so without taking away from interior spaciousness or daytime usability. Thanks to a slide-out and well-thought-out layout, the BHS manages to fit in a jack-knife sofa, queen-size bed, and double bunks — all while having room for a stylish kitchen counter, spacious shower, pantry, 8-cubic-foot fridge, and even an exterior fridge and griddle hookup.
